Description
Chancel
A horizontal line executed in cinnabar can be discerned in the arch of the chancel window of the upper church. It is divided by short vertical lines and creates a kind of uninterrupted cruciform plait. Similar kind of fragments have been preserved on other sections of the chancel too, specifically, on the area right of the window. This circumstance makes it presumable that the church had been adorned with aniconic decoration which fully embellished at least the chancel.
