The Savior is depicted with an open book (the inscription on the book is illegible).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In the second registre, half-length figures of holy fathers are distributed irregularly: only one figure of Basil the Great (<strong>\u10bc<\/strong><strong>(\u10ab\u10a8\u10a3\u10a0)<\/strong><strong>\u10c2<\/strong><strong> || <\/strong><strong>\u10a1\u10a0\u10b1\u10a8\u10aa\u10a8<\/strong><strong> \u2013 <\/strong><strong>Saint Basili<\/strong><strong>)<\/strong> is depicted left of the window (on the north), while the right side (on the south) shows St. John Chrysostom (<strong>\u10bc<\/strong><strong>(\u10ab\u10a8\u10a3\u10a0)<\/strong><strong>\u10c2<\/strong><strong> || <\/strong><strong>\u10a8\u10ad\u10a0\u10ac\u10a4<\/strong> <strong>[<\/strong><strong>\u10ad\u10b5\u10b0<\/strong><strong>]|<\/strong><strong>\u10ad\u10ae\u10a8\u10b0\u10a8<\/strong> \u2013 <strong>Saint John Chrysostom<\/strong>) and an image of another bishop (presumably St. Nicholas (<strong>[&#8230;]<\/strong><strong>\u10aa<\/strong><strong>[&#8230;])<\/strong>. The bishops are represented with their right hands in blessing and closed codices.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A broad geometrical ornament runs along the bottom of the second registre.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h6>Chancel screen<\/h6>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Painting has survived on the architrave of the three-span chancel screen \u2013 it is covered with floral patterns.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h6>Aisle<\/h6>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The painting in the upper registre of <strong>the south<\/strong> <strong>wall<\/strong> (vault) is destroyed. the scene of <em>St. George Saving a Youth from Captivity<\/em> is depicted in the lower row.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Hardly any painting has survived in the upper registre (vault) of <strong>the north<\/strong> <strong>wall<\/strong>; according to the extant small fragments, it must be the scene of <em>Torture of St. George on the Wheel <\/em>(only the feet of the figures and the swords fixed to the cart have survived). The lower registre shows taming of the dragon and liberation of the princess, so-called <em>Miracle of the City of Lasia.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>The west<\/strong> <strong>wall<\/strong> is completely dedicated to the scene of <em>Christ Blessing the Holy Warriors. <\/em>The center of the upper edge of the wall shows Christ\u2019s image to the chest inscribed in a semi-circle. He crowns the holy warriors with His hands stretched out. There are standing frontal figures of St. George (<strong>\u10bc<\/strong><strong>(\u10ab\u10a8\u10a3\u10a0)<\/strong><strong>\u10c2<\/strong><strong> || <\/strong><strong>\u10a2(\u10a8\u10ad\u10b0\u10a2)\u10a8<\/strong> \u2013 <strong>Saint George<\/strong>) in the southern half of the wall, and St. Theodore (<strong>\u10bc<\/strong><strong>(\u10ab\u10a8\u10a3\u10a0)<\/strong><strong>\u10c2<\/strong><strong> || <\/strong><strong>\u10a7(\u10a4\u10a5\u10a3\u10ad\u10b0)\u10a4<\/strong> \u2013 <strong>Saint Theodore<\/strong>) in the north. St. George is depicted holding a spear and a shield, while St. Theodore has a spear and a sheath in his hands. The tympanum shows Christ Emmanuel <strong>(<\/strong><strong>\u10a8<\/strong><strong>[-]<\/strong>).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h6>Fa<strong>\u00e7<\/strong>ade<\/h6>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>The north<\/strong> <strong>fa\u00e7ade<\/strong> is dedicated to the warrior saints: St. George kills Diocletian, St. Theodore slays a dragon.
