It shows the composition of the <em>Deesis<\/em> with half-length figures of the Savior, the Virgin and St, John the Baptist. The savior (<strong>\u1f38<\/strong><strong>(<\/strong><strong>\u03b7\u03c3\u03bf<\/strong><strong>\u1fe6<\/strong><strong>)<\/strong><strong>\u03c2<\/strong> <strong>\u03a7(\u03c1\u03b9\u03c3\u03c4<\/strong><strong>\u1f78<\/strong><strong>)<\/strong><strong>\u03c2<\/strong><strong> \u2013<\/strong> <strong>Jesus Christ<\/strong>) is depicted in the center with His right hand raised in blessing and the Bible in His left hand. On the left is the <strong>Virgin (<\/strong><strong>\u039c(\u03ae\u03c4\u03b7)\u03c1 \u0398(\u03b5\u03bf)<\/strong><strong>\u1fe6<\/strong> <strong>\u2013 Mother of God), <\/strong>on the right \u2013 St. John the Baptist (the inscription is destroyed). They are both depicted with their hands raised in supplication and facing Christ.
