Only the chancel apse must have been painted in the interior of the middle nave of the three-church basilica.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h6 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Chancel<\/h6>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In the chancel the painting is composed of two registres.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>Christ in Majesty<\/em> was represented in the conch \u2013 the Savior seated on a richly decorated throne with a pedestal is depicted in a circular mandorla surrounded by an ornamented border.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The second registre of the painting is separated from the conch representation with an ornamented border of the Savior\u2019s mandorla (the ornamental frieze contains stylized floral and geometrical patterns). The registre is divided into two parts by the chancel window (its lintels are filled with floral ornaments) which is additionally framed with a folded ornament.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Left of the window is an image of the Virgin in supplication (<strong>\u10a3<\/strong>(<strong>\u10a4\u10a3<\/strong><strong>)<\/strong><strong>\u10a0 \u10b6<\/strong><strong>(<\/strong><strong>\u10ab\u10b0\u10a7\u10a8\u10b1\u10a0<\/strong><strong>)<\/strong><strong>\u10c2 <\/strong>\u2013 <strong>Mother of God<\/strong>).
