Presently only fragments of the painting have been preserved.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h6 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Chancel<\/h6>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In the conch the painting is almost completely obliterated. A young, beardless, frontal figure with lowered left hand and presumably holding an object in his right hand can be observed on the western intrados of the chancel arch. Apparently, it is a figure of an angel\/archangel.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h6 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Aisle<\/h6>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The west corner of <strong>the south<\/strong> <strong>wall<\/strong> of the hall represents the <em>Descent into Hell<\/em>; only fragments of the Savior\u2019s body and two crowned figures on His right (west), presumably, holy prophets David and Solomon, have survived.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Painting on<strong> the north<\/strong> <strong>wall<\/strong> is completely obliterated. Only a fragment of a saint\u2019s face has survived on the western area of the vault.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On <strong>the<\/strong> <strong>west<\/strong> <strong>wall<\/strong> the painting is distributed in two registres which are separated from each other by a folded ornament; in the first registre the three-figured scene of the <em>Ascension<\/em> is depicted above the window. There are two compositions in the lower registre. They are not separated with a registre line and are almost merged. <em>The Crucifixion <\/em>(<strong>\u10bf\u10a5<\/strong><strong>(<\/strong><strong>\u10a0<\/strong><strong>)<\/strong><strong>\u10b0\u10ba[\u10ab\u10a0\u10c2] <\/strong>\u2013 <strong>Crucifixion<\/strong>) is depicted on the southern section; on the right (north) of crucified Christ is a female figure holding a jug and collecting Christ\u2019s blood and water \u2013 it is a symbolic representation of the church. Next to her is the Virgin. On the left (south) of Christ\u2019s figure is St. John the Baptist, presumably, with bread in his hand; a Roman soldier can also be observed behind the Apostle.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>The Nativity<\/em> is depicted in the northern part of the second registre (<strong>\u10ac\u10a0\u10a7\u10aa<\/strong><strong>(\u10a8)<\/strong><strong>\u10b1\u10a0||\u10b6\u10a4\u10a1\u10a0\u10c2 | \u10c2<\/strong><strong>(\u10a4\u10b1)<\/strong><strong>\u10b3 \u10b5<\/strong><strong>(\u10b0\u10a8\u10b1\u10b2)<\/strong><strong>\u10a4\u10b1\u10c2<\/strong> \u2013 <strong>Baptism of Jesus Christ<\/strong>).
